Smoking pot can be good sometimes but can hinder you at others. For example, I went on a date last night - first time we met. Got high with the girl. Massive paranoia kicked in coupled with fatigue (because it was late). Lesson: Never smoke pot with a girl when meeting for the first time

Ive come to view humans not as Oh we so precious!!! to just as another species.

There was a TED talk I saw where the guy talked about the evolution of the universe and stacking layers of information. Humans can create the imagined. We are recreating ourselves with AI and seeing inside ourselves through sophisticated observation.

I can't use a term and say "we humans definitively have this and animals don't have it", but I have a sense of this more-ness that makes humans distinct from animals. Maybe the human distinction is a quantitive difference, such as a boat's ability to float or not.
