We start talking and catching up and he says how he wants to be making big purchases and talks about buying a home I told him I just bought a two family house and immediately after he says that we should chill

Idk if I’m overthinking this but I felt like he was just wanting to chill after I told him about that purchase I made...I agreed to it but I could always back out what do you guys think?
