This happened a few weeks ago on Labor day and I haven't said anything to my younger brother who also to be my best friend.

He is engaged to a girl that myself and most of the people that know him aren't too thrilled about. It's as if it is what it is to most people because getting married is a grand fairy tail.

I'm minding my own business on the shoreline, grabbing some sunscreen and some water when my brother says he's going to swim out to his fiance and their pup who are on a paddle board.

I don't pay much attention - he's in good shape and owns his own gym and she's not but 30 yards off the shore slowly paddling toward the middle of the lake.

I get my water and plonk down on a chair...just as I do I can see my brother is getting gassed a bit. He's about 15-20 yards from her as she's paddling away from him and he says "come get me".

She turns her head, looks at him, and says "keep up"

Now for whatever reason, at this moment I hardly take note of it and get distracted again looking for something in my car.

Moments later my brother is back on shore. He's a dude that never complains or shares his struggles but he says "damn...I almost had a panic attack out there"

It turns out he was really struggling.

Fast forward to that night around the dinner table, he brings up that he had a tough time swimming today and told her he'd asked for help.

In front of my parents(who were also on the lake), myself(who heard her from the shore)..she blatantly says "oh sorry babe, I didn't hear you or notice you were struggling."

This bitch.

Should I tell my brother what I heard? I've so many red flags at this point I'm at a loss. But I've heard many on here say you can't save your friends or family.
