A really good post made today by /u/Archwinger reminded me of a topic in psychology called locus of control. The post in question is titled Don't blame women. Blame yourself.

As per Wikipedia, here is a brief explanation:

In personality psychology, locus of control refers to the extent to >which individuals believe they can control events affecting them. >Understanding of the concept was developed by Julian B. Rotter >in 1954, and has since become an aspect of personality studies.

Essentially, every time one of our endorsed contributors makes such a great post regarding ownership of one's direction in life, acknowledgment of personal shortcomings and taking action towards improvement, most of the time it boils down to whether or not you believe you have control over what's happening in your life.

Those with an internal locus of control tend to attribute no control (let's call it failure, or an undesired outcome) to ability rather than chance/luck. Also, they attribute control (success or desired outcome) to effort rather than how difficult the task is.

In my opinion, when /u/Archwinger suggested you blame yourself instead of women, in other words he is suggesting that you start looking at your abilities and how much effort you put into solving problems, that being increasing the amount of blow jobs you get from your LTR or spin plates with the highest efficiency known to man (ok, that was my attempt at humor, but I am not even close to making funny shit up like /u/GayLubeOil)

I will make this post brief, but feel free to keep reading on the subject.

And as always, keep lifting!
