I'm an 18 year old High School Senior and I would say I'm on the early stages of becoming alpha. There is still a lot of beta in me, but earlier today something very unexpected happened.

I have two friends that are classic orbiters of this not-so-interesting girl. One of them is a little more physically attractive than me (and even more attractive than the girl, but an orbiter nonetheless) and the other one is a little less.

The three of us spend a lot of time together (yeah, I am not proud of spending time with orbiters) and I have no interest in this girl whatsoever. I rarely speak to her, even though I have known her for a while.

Earlier today my (more phisically attractive) friend, the girl and I were waiting for the bus. My house was very close and I had no money, so I decided that I should walk home. The girl said that she would not let me walk because it would be "unpleasant" for me, and offered to lend me money. She even gave me the money and refused to take it back until tomorrow. I said that I would only wait for the bus with them, but would not take it. She kept insisting, and at one point my friend even offered to pay it for me.

Eventually, a bus that my friend and I could take, but she could not, arrived. She said that my friend should take that bus, but she wanted me to go on the next bus with her. That made my friend really uncomfortable, but he didn't say anything.

Finnally, the bus arrived and the two of them got on it. I walked home as I had said I would. There was a lot of traffic, so the bus had to stop a few meters ahead and I slipped the girls money though the window.

This is not nearly as an interesting story as most of the field reports that I read here, but I thought it was worth sharing. Especially because I am still a alpha-esque beta and I don't see a lot of field reports by highschoolers.
