I found this community in 2013/2014. I followed the advice given about goals, lifting, and pushing forward through the suck.
Well it worked for me. I’m reaching my goals young. I’ve saved up a significant down payment thanks to financial advice combined with hermit mode. Basically I wouldn’t leave the house except for work, gym, or groceries. It was boring for a few years but a small price to pay for the future benefits.
Almost to the 500lb deadlift I set out to do years ago. Getting closer to the 315lb bench. Took me a while but that’s life.
New guys just do the things and be consistent. Don’t make it out to be more than it is.
