Lurker here, following for a while- wondering what red pill dudes think about STDs.

Saw a girl a couple times- I like her, but before we had sex, she says she has herpes. We put the brakes on it, and I go home and read up.

Apparently, it's pretty common- lots of people have it, many without even knowing it, and it's not usually tested for with STD screenings.

Do any of you think about this when hooking up? Condoms are helpful and unless she's having an outbreak, transmission rates are are on par with pregnancy risks, especially from women to dudes. But with one in four or five women supposedly carriers, I have to imagine the burgeoning Lothario has probably had sex with several of them.

Aside from occasional outbreaks, it's not medically significant, as in, it won't reduce your lifespan. But it also, like cold sores or warts or HIV, it's a virus that doesn't go away when you have it.

Anyone have experience or thoughts on this? Do you ask chicks before fucking if they're clean/recently tested? Just gauge the girl and hope for the best?

And suggestions on how to proceed with chica? I'm guessing NEXTing is advised, but then again, maybe the alpha doesn't pay mind to such things any more than he fears accidental pregnancy.
