OP’s point is valid, however, this was an inappropriate relationship. That makes it difficult to defend his point of view without appearing to condone ephebophilia. (The attraction to a person who has just passed puberty. Contrast this with pedophilia, which is the attraction to prepubescent children.)

We tolerate neither here, although we do acknowledge the biological imperative that drives males to seek the youngest possible breeding partners so as to have the longest potential breeding span available to beget offspring.

first of all - I am not defending this mans action! What I want to discuss is the woman who reported him for pedophilia.

16 year olds have the same bodies as younger women. So for her to be able to look 16, one would need to study her closely. Why did she decide to do that out of a whim? Because the man must have been really handsome. He was around her age and she wanted him. The girl could have been 19. But the pedophile hunter was too pissed off at the idea of a great guy being with a younger woman.

This was not a woman saving a little girl from a predator. It was a jealous woman who hates that good lookign guys choose younger women.

OP, i'm less inclined to have this here because it seems to want to rationalize having intimate relationships with minors. Now, I know some jurisdictions allow 16 year old women to consent as adults, and even as low as 14, but in this jurisdiction, the girl is considered a minor, and for that we have to respect the laws where that geographical location has decided upon.

The policy of reddit overall is to follow the laws of the origin from which the content is derived. I get that you want to have a discussion regarding the merits of a post wall she-cunt who really is just jealous that older men prefer younger women, but that would be better as a post to /r/WhereAllTheGoodMenAre and included as part of your evidence to a larger point you want to make, rather than as a post here focusing on this specific situation.

I'm gonna keep this up for a bit, just so others can see what you were trying to accomplish, but also to avoid content that doesn't address the Carol in question directly while also predicated on a grey area of policy.
