I'm in a dry spell, every girl I talk to throw some iois but later mention their bf somewhere in the conversation, am I being suckered for attention or just not good enough?

First thing first, I'm short and I study mechanical engineering in a muslim country so most girls in my faculty are very used to male attention while also trying to maintain a somewhat decent reputation so odds are too much in their favor, the thing is I'm funny, cocky and idgaf most of the time and managed to isolate girls and even get coffee "dates" through cold approaches but there is a very shitty pattern going on. Those gals are giggling like little girls when around me, lean heavily onto me, touch my arms very frequently, ask me many questions and highlight things about themselves they think that makes them special. On a normal setting I would consider that a success but they wouldn't even let a cheek kiss at the end of the day and next time I see them, although they are not cold they make sure they mention they have a bf. At this point I started to feel like a creep who misinterperates everything.
