This is a comedy film that came out in 1965 and stars Jack Lemmon as Stanley Ford, a well-off cartoonist with a wonderful life. One night he gets a bit tipsy and makes the mistake of marrying while drunk, immediately regretting it when he sobers up.
I don't want to say too much more, because I don't want to spoil anything, but the film is hilarious, satiricial, and a lot of RP truths are scattered throughout the movie. People here would have even greater appreciation and enjoyment from it.
The movie is viewed (by women primarily) nowadays as highly misogynistic and sexist, yet in reality many parts of it aren't far removed from the truth. Comedy and satire often overlay truth after all.
