Thoughts on talking to girls on the phone? Is it as bad as texting?

This girl is telling me she wants to talk on the phone before meeting. I'm afraid to fuck everything up just like I've done via texting before.

Edit: Girls often compliment my voice but for some reason talking on the phone gives me anxiety (bitch I know) and I feel uncomfortable. Luckily I don't have this problem face to face though.
