My sister (23 years old) went to the emerg room a little over a week ago because she wasn't feeling well, and by the end, her version of the events in emerg (nobody else was allowed in except her and the medical staff) was that the doctor told her she has 'a mild case of covid'.

A few days later we called the emerg room because we spotted some holes in her story and they said

  1. They wouldn't have told her right then and there that she had it, and

  2. There's no such thing as 'a mild case of covid'.

Now we're convinced she just made it up for attention. Also, she doesn't seem to care 'that she has it' nor is she taking any precautions to protect the rest of us.

So yeah, we're confidently calling bullshit. She's a girl who got bored and wanted attention. The end.

Not to mention she told a bunch of her friends and snapchatted a few stories about it and such. Unfortunately I'm 'quarantined' with her so not only have I been wearing a mask for the past fucking week, been afraid to go anywhere she went or touch anything she's touched, but now since she felt the need to tell everyone - everyone thinks I'm infected too, which comes with it's own set of annoyances.

My mom actually had to call into the job she's still working through all of this and tell them she can't come in for the next 2 weeks because she's now under quarantine, which long story short, affects a lot of people she works with due to rescheduling, now being understaffed, and the like. And it's not like she can even call in and say 'turns out I don't have it' because it's obviously not that simple. A lot of people got fucked over due to her need for attention and yet every time we bring it up she throws a tantrum like a child.

But we can't even get an apology.

Moral of the story; Not even a pandemic will make them smarten up.
