I do this for my children. They have a hardship, cry about it, and I tell them to move on from it. What else can you do? It's just the way it is.

I respect people who are front liners in this situation, but this kind of crisis shakes out the weak hands. If she can't cut it, she should just resign. Sorry, but it's just simple truth. Otherwise she is hurting more than she is helping.

Men are just more blunt about this. But this goes for most things where performance is critical and lives are on the line.
