It´s been just a few weeks since I started watching and reading MGTOW stuff, and it was pretty much liberating for me. Here on Mexico. The poor guy getting married a late 20´s virgin, old school geeky stereotype who studied Biotechnology, Cooking, English and French; he is working as an English teacher currently... I´ve never seen a happier bride.
So here´s the story
I know the groom since he was a teenager, I´m 34 now and the groom is a nephew of a married couple friends of mine. The groom had been at his own business his whole life, living at his parents, grandparents, greatgrandparents, uncles, cousins all in a big house (vecindad we called it in Mexico, which is a bunch of small apartments or houses within big lot or house).
About a year ago the Groom (chunky , white and nerdy, no smoking, barely drinks ) was just starting dating the Bride (she looks just like him but with less mustache and more sideburns and some bad tattoos, around the same age as him; smoker) and after less than month, he invited her to a family party at his house with his big fat family. The party goes on and it gets late and nobody wanted to give her a ride or let her go home in a cab (since in Mexico and my city being one of the cities with highest crime rate in the country lots of bad cab drivers rob, rape and kill women) so the family allows her to spend the night at the house. The next day the Bride´s family no longer want their girl back home since she spent the night at the man´s house and now it was his duty to marry her. Yeah, 18th century shit.
At this point I am not sure of whether or not they actually had sex. My guess is they didn´t, since he is a total pushover.
So she moves in to his family´s house with him. And the Bride sits on her ass and doesn´t do anything around the house, but complain about the family with the Groom since the mothers around the house do all the housekeeping and the grandparents own a cafeteria in the same house, where all the family have their meals from at command to the grandma and aunts, (there are lots of lazy men and women in that house since nobody pay rent and a lot are still supported by the grandparents. Fast forward a few months later, they get married by the state. A year later "Still in the same situation" they now get married by the Catholic church.
Which brings us to my part in the story.
I show up to the wedding reception and greet the Groom and his brother, congratulate the Groom as honestly as possible with a simple "Congratulations, man" and a hug, then the Bride comes out kinda nervous, I´ve only met her a couple times before, never talked directly to her, because I think she is creepy and boring.
Then, I make my way in to the hall, greet some of my friends, the married couple (he is in his mid 30´s, she is late 30's) and their teenage boy; another married couple Pablo and Betty (he, mid 30´s; she late 30´s); and a niece from the first marriage. Let me break down some of this people, since they are important on this story, I´ll call´em Pedro´s Clan**.**
The couple with the boy I´ll call´em Pedro, Vilma and Bam-Bam. Pedro is one of my best friends since highschool, big lummox looking kinda guy, with diabetes and the face and voice of a girl; smart, standup guy; kinky and over-thinker like me; outrageously cynical, outgoing, annoyingly chatty to a lot of people and one of the best cooks I know, currently working in the kitchen at his parents in law´s kitchen. Vilma, Pedro´s wife, I also know her since highschool but I´ve never been as close with as with her guy,she is tall, kinda chunky (although she has lost a lot of weight on the last few years), with a round face, a common feature in her family side; she is very cool and relaxed, and one of the most grounded persons I know of, she is an accountant at a light bulbs company ; through her older sister, Vilma is aunt to the Groom and the Groom´s big sister, and little brother, I´ll call´em Giselle and Elmo. I also know Giselle since highschool, (but I´ll get to that later). And last and not least, Bam-Bam, he is the only boy of Pedro and Vilma, chunky kid with a round face, going through puberty with a raspy kid voice, tall but still about to grow taller, geeky but still a pretty cool and smart kid doesn´t really look much interested on girls, so he would have that in common with his cousins, the Groom and the Groom´s brother. The family moved into my neighborhood about 10 years ago.
Then there is Honey, Vilma´s niece from one her many brothers. Single, mid 20´s, average looking, kiddy face and attitude, she studied Accounting or Business Managing (I don´t remember). I asked her out through text once and didn´t even replied back, so I really don´t pay much attention to her. There is a lot of sexual tension between Honey, Pedro; Pablo and my oldest friend (not present). Basically they are always cuddling her and flirting with her and she just acts like a giggly little girl. But that´s another story.
Back to the reception. So I said hi to Pedro´s Clan and Vilmas relatives that walked by us.
Now, about me. I check the place around and noticed I dressed fit for the occasion, Pedro and his nephews, the Groom among them and Pablo were the only guys wearing suits. Me, on the other side, went with my black n white flower shirt, white jeans and black shoes (guys don´t dress up much for weddings anymore).
Everything runs smooth. Pablo bought for us a couple bottles of honeyed Jack Daniels, we start drinking and some friends from the Groom start giving speeches in French and English (now, that was doucy).
We, the Clan are joking around about the speeches and drinking, then the funny dances start and I notice just how chilled I feel. Not giving a thing about the girls around me felt really good, not caring about dancing music I don´t like with women that I´ve seen in these events for more than 10 years now, and those girls just don´t get prettier or more interesting . I´m talking about 4 teen moms now in their mid 20,s with 2 o 3 kids each, and each from different parents and currently pregnant; then there are Honey, from the Clan and Giselle, former clanswoman (she is sitting across the other side of the hall), they are all Vilma´s nieces.
Next there´s this thing in my city that is getting more popular by the day, where there is a dance with Torito de Petate, which is a Hell of a long explanation, here´s a video about it instead:Torito de petate
And the action begin. One of Vilma´s relatives (big guys) is handling the bull mascot (like a third the size the one on the video) and the guy "hits" with the tail one of the Bride´s cousins (short guys) and the latter loses his shit and starts a fight. I couldn´t watch the fight from my seat, I only watched a couple of the pregnant moms I mentioned before jump into the fight; as Pablo, from the Clan (Very tall guy, bulky, former bouncer and small time mafioso) joins in to get between the families and stop the fight onthe spot. According to the accounts I heard, maybe 3 or 4 punches were thrown and another 2 from one of the pregnant moms. Nobody got very hurt.
Then the night went on. Everybody got drunker and my friend Pedro pulls "The Creepy Uncle" routine that is becoming normal for him around his nieces, cuddling Honey and telling her how cute and pretty she is. Then he moves on the same routine to another one, and calls out to me to check her out while he cuddles her (pretty indeed, easy the hottest girl around, a younger better looking version of Honey), he says to me: "Look at her", then to her "You´re so cute and pretty. How old are you?" . She flirtatiously ask: "How old do you think I am?". He says 18, I say 22. She is 19. I think that was the end of the conversation.
Let´s skip to the end where most of the guest had left and the millenials around got together at the table we were sitting.
Remember Giselle, the Groom´s sister? Well she is sittin on our table now with her latest boyfriend after a series of wrecked short relationships that followed the 15 years she spent dating her scumbag from highschool. So Giselle is a kindergarten teacher, 33, with a masters degree, lives with her parents and she used to be average looking (slim, pale, average height). Now after crying his ass off (still does) for the highschool scumbag; she has hit the wall hard. Sore eyes, crow´s feet, fat arms and getting fat and 0 personality, she now looks like her mom (good for her mom since she is in her late 40´s).
She is bragging about her trophy boyfriend, how he takes here and there. The guy runnin his mouth about going to the beach, how he upgraded from a small boat to a small yacht because there were "damas" (which is translates to "ladies" but way more formal) around. Something in the way he said "damas" almost makes me spill my Highball in laughter. So the couple keeps blabbering about The Life, shortly after, Giselle´s parents come to say goodbye and her old man (mexican macho type but whipped), hammered, goes to say bye to Giselle and shares some kind words with her and he boyfriend that I couldn´t hear well. But I sure did listened when he was telling the boyfriend: "She is a good girl" then raised his voice and said "BUT SHE IS A FUCKING LAZY HAG!" and LHAO and left. I think I cackled to that.
Shortly after that, we all left. I was impressed about the 0 fucks I gave about all of the situations during the evening. Your former blue pilled narrator would have gotten really anxious on these events about finding a dance partner, try to hookup and impress a "dama" LOL.
So this is it "caballeros" The Bride was the happiest bride I´ve ever seen. Pedro´s Clan is my most crowded social circle. Thank you for your time reading this.
P.S. Giselle´s trophy boyfriend is married, lives in another city and she thinks she is gonna leave his wife.
