Ricardo Ohara is a nippo-brazilian dude, very simple and chill man, he didnt have any friends and lived a lonely life in japan, one day he decided to post a video in youtube venting out about the life crysis he was in:
he was married in brasil and decided with his wife that he will travel to japan to work in a factory (in japan wages for works that dont require higher education pay much more, like 3x or even more than brazil) and send money for her to pay her nursing college and get higher salaries in brazil, like a family project, this went on for years until the year she finished college and asked the divorce, he got desperate, left his job went back to brasil to attenpt a reconciliation but she didnt wanted and without a place to go he got back to japan to try to find another job, in his video he said how sad he was for being lonely and losing so much time in a failed project

well, now come the twist, his video fucking exploded, his history resonated with thousands of men in brazil, including famous youtubers and a wave of support flooded his channel, men sending him money in support like crazy, people trying to break his loneliness asking him for lives to chat with him 24h nonstop, his channel statiscts are like crazy, 450 thousand subscribers in like two months, his videos get an insane number of views, one famous podcast in brazil inveted him to talk and his participation broke the record of views, men giving him professional advices, trying to help him anyway they can

well, to be realistic, nothing is perfect, some weird shit is happening too:

1) he attracted atention of some girls too, trying to talk with him and his supporters lost their shit like ordering him to not give them attention stating that theyre all gold diggers, some might be, but some might be decent people too, the thing is that is his decision to make and true friends support shoudnt be something conditioned by doing what the supporters think is best, trheating him like a child inst helpful

2) he never revealed the identity of her ex-wife but some news are bubbling up that his ex-wife is saying that he is lying, that he burned her savings in failed business and went to japan to repay her, we will never know the absolute truth and will fall in our own opinions, but we all know that marriages today are shit shows

But i shared this history because i think the mgtow philosophy is making impacts in our culture little by little, if this man had told this same history 5 years ago, everyone would just said how women are leeches or that he was a loser and forget, but now we help, advise, share experiences, support and build communities, and to me this is so cool
