That is partially true but they have their own set of problems.

They still hold up their cultural norms and expectations but only for men. When you ask them to follow tradition they start talking about "progressiveness" and "equality" and so on.

Honestly the best solution is to just ignore them and focus on bettering yourself and enjoying your own life.
