FIRE refers to Financial Independence and Early Retirement. From what I've gathered about the differences between leanFIRE, FIRE, and fatFIRE, it seems the amount in investments would be something like: leanFIRE < $1MM < FIRE < $2.5MM < fatFIRE

Here's another article talking about fatFIRE: https://www.financialsamurai.com/what-is-fat-fire-best-way-to-retire-early/

Some of the things mentioned are: Living in a 3bed/2ba house or a luxury apartment/condo, traveling in 4/5 star hotels, driving a car not older than 5 years, and eat/drink the finest foods

I made a post in /r/fatFIRE about marriage, and it seemed no one there wanted to not get married. They were saying marriage isn't so bad if you have a large net worth if you marry a woman who also has a large net worth as she wouldn't take as much from you in a divorce. Also, they said the divorce rate for wealthy, educated couples isn't as high as 50%. Since MGTOWers don't plan to marry and have kids, I was just curious if anyone here still plans to fatFIRE? Or if it's completely unnecessary and you're just content with leanFIRE or FIRE?

I'm in my early 30s and don't plan to get married. Although for now I live a leanFIRE lifestyle as I drive a 15 year old car, live with my parents, rarely eat out, etc despite making a 6-figure income, I don't think I want be too frugal forever. It would be nice to eventually have a nice place to live, drive a newer car, etc. But I would need to be FIRE first before I could upgrade my lifestyle

Any thoughts?
