This stuff is the end result of an unfortunate trend. Abuse is labeled as something only men do, and the fact that we are not believed allows it to be used as a weapon. Not only can a woman abuse you, but she can turn around and say that YOU are abusive and everyone will believe her without a shred of evidence. Meanwhile, you have bruises and no one believes a damn word.

The worst part of the whole thing is many women know this, and will actively use the "I'll tell them you're abusing me" card to get their way. The police might need proof, but your friends, neighbors, and family don't and these women will actively destroy your life this way if you give them any static.

Feminist groups will make sure these stories are buried so that no one will find and acknowledge them.

They'll claim that these instances are so rare that it is of no real consequence, then they'll go into institutions like public schools and convince the boys that they're future perpetrators and girls that they're future victims and that's all they'll ever be.

It's sickening.

My last relationship lasted 5 years. 2 years of that was majorly abusive. Thank god we weren't married. And this article is absolutely true. I kept it quiet because I knew no one would believe me. Even after we broke up, no one believed me even when I told them. People would ask "Why did you break up" and I'd try to explain. The responses were always the same. People would laugh, or either say "Well what did you do to her to deserve it??" She kicked, bit, scratched, poured water and beer on me at various times, hit me with various objects and more. It actually ended with me going to jail for 3 days for trying to defend myself when she pulled a gun on me. After I was arrested, she filed a restraining order against me for supposedly hitting her. She claimed she pulled the gun in self defense. I was sentenced to 1 year probation, and 6 months "domestic counseling classes".
