A buddy of mine posted about the conflict in Iran and one of his female friends chimed in with a message she got from a female friend in the Army who basically said something like "I should get pregnant if a war starts with Iran because I didn't sign up to go to war for this stupid country."

So naturally I took the bait "yeah, she kinda did when she joined the army."

This woman and a few other women that joined in to comment don't seem to understand that concept. One of them flat out saying se too would take the benefits and then bail on the army. She got some likes for that comment from the other women. I'm thinking to myself "Really? She just told everyone she is a piece of shit with no character or integrity and you liked it?"

Then it got turned on me because the first lady comes back telling me it was a joke. "It. Was. A. Joke." Like I'm some kind of asshole with no sense of humor. I don't know, I kind of expect jokes to be funny but maybe I'm wrong. I'm not getting the humor in saying you would get pregnant so you could bail on your fellow soldiers in a time of conflict because you didn't sign up to fight a war for your stupid country even though you joined the army. Am I missing the humor here?

I feel like I'm living in the twilight zone. Am I just not getting it or do these women all lack a sense of honor and duty and integrity? These are supposedly female friends of mine as well. Not the first one that posted about her female friend in the army but the others defending her comment. I'm wondering what kind of friends I have. I mean I know they are liberals, but so am I for the most part. But I still understand how the military works.

Help me figure this one out.
