Alright so I stumbled upon the whole MGTOW 2 days ago, while I thought like this for quite a while. I'm happy that I found this whole thing, since I thought that I was weird for having this mindset. Keep in mind that I'm only 22 years old, which is quite young and hence I might have a simplistic view on the whole matter. While I have the same mindset as the definition of MGTOW ('men going their own way, forging their own identities and paths to self-defined success. ', literally this, no implications about any hate for women whatsoever), I don't have any hate for the opposite gender at all and I wish to keep it this way. The hate that I've seen while lurking this subreddit won't get you anywhere and might be toxic for your own thoughts. Luckily I haven't had a terrible break-up or other bad experiences, so it is easy for me to say this, yet I don't wish to ever be a hateful person.

Having this all said, I am wondering how you guys deal with people asking you about your relationships, your sex life or whatsoever. Currently I am really busy with my career, due to my studies being quite hard and time-consuming and working part-time, while orienting on starting my own firm. I have noticed that putting no effort in trying to date women results in way more time and energy. However, I am still not comfortable in completely stopping the effort to have a girlfriend. When I observe my own thoughts, I notice that this is due to me being afraid of missing something great out and (especially) due to the opinions of others when they know that I'm not busy with girls. I never feel like lying about this subject, so when the subject about women comes up with friends, I'm honest about how I think.

Do you guys have any advice for me on the matter? Simply saying that I shouldn't give a fuck isn't helping, since I already try that.
