If you want a real mindfuck make your way onto /r/femaledatingstrategy. If you can stomach it. Constant chatter about demanding men who financially assist and support them being a base standard for dating. It's like they know that real equality in 2020 would entail both partners of a relationship going out, working hard, and bringing in money to try make a relationship float. But naw the "sisses", "huns" and "queens" over there want to be waited on hand and foot. They also want to bash men and talk about their "low value" while they make these demands. Most of these women don't realise that they're not even "low value" themselves. They're zero value.
And that of course doesn't tie in with logical thinking about equality so the whole sub is them sticking their fingers in their ears and screaming BLAH BLAH BLAH I deserve to be treated like a QUEEN
Worst thing about it... there's simpletons out there that will do it for them. These men are to blame for this behavior.

I shouldn't even be giving it air time but it serves as evidence of how toxic, manipulative and cut throat women can be. It's one of the few online sources where the cat is well and truly out of the bag, their strategies, gold digging, lies and manipulation are in black and white published plain to see. AWALT of course but very few are open about it. I follow it out of morbid curiosity and to arm myself with the info to know what to avoid. Keep your enemies close etc.

For all we know, she supporting him could have just been her feeling like being a decent human being for once in her life. If she had supported him by putting her life on the line or some shit like that, then sure. But just saying "Don't worry, you can do it!"....
My mom does that.

Just because you support someone, it doesn't, or at least shouldn't, make you entitled to their wealth.
There are people that have supported big companies like Google and Microsoft. But just because they supported them, this doesn't mean they're entitled to half of the company's revenue. They could decide to work as partners and so help each other out and divide the spoils, but half of their shit? nah, that's called a scam.

This was supposedly during the early years of amazon. So far I can't really find any source to say that his ex-wife had a huge impact on the company or its beginnings financially. In fact, he already had the idea of amazon before he met her. Sure she helped, buy not as much as your claiming. He didn't need to worry about finances because he had help from his parents and others. If you disagree then please link the source.
This would mean that he very likely would have succeed in making amazon (specially if single) without her help.
I'll be honest, I was a bit in the dark, as I don't really care much about such things. But everyone thought they would split the profit 50/50 due to the state that they were living in. In fact, by law, she very well could have taken half of the profit. Meaning that my argument still stands.
I'm not saying she doesn't deserve anything. If she helped him, then she deserves her share. If she came up with profitable ideas that were used to help the business grow, then she definitely needs to be rewarded. Given what I've read on Jeff though, it doesn't seem she helped as much as your claiming.
Anyway, my main problem is with the law of the state. This means that she could have sat there the whole time, her hands crossed, and by law STILL be entitled to half of the profit. If we disagree on everything else, maybe we can agree on this.
