my father became widower at 41 and raised me and my sister by himself.his family was mostly out of the picture, and my mother's was a pit of snakes.they faked helping him while trying to take us away from him.even though he was never very emotionally available, he always supported us and made us feel safe.he fended off thots for years.at the age of 75, he go fed up with his 15 years relationship. he left his 52 yrs old woman because she's stuck in a codependent relationship with her older simp son (this guy....needs a post on its own) and this caused many of their projects and goals to be canceled.my father simply said "i cant live my last years like this. i still feel live".he made more friends in the past months than in the years spent with her.its really a joy to watch him become again the active man i always knew.
