Interesting myth associated with him: his name is Shiva, one of the holy trinity(three primary gods) in Hindu mythology. He never planned to marry. But other gods(lower and primary) decide it was for the best, so he can be integrated into the society. He got married twice(first wife committed suicide after her father insulted him) and in both the cases other gods arrange for him to marry.
