Story time: A few minutes ago, I just got done talking to a female who randomly messaged me on Facebook. We are both in the same group, so I showed up on her recommendations. I asked her why she's contacting me in the first place, to which she responded "I'm looking for new friends...and maybe more." Great way to start a conversation, drop a hint like that. I explained to her that I wasn't interested, mainly because she lived in Florida and I live in the Midwest. Also, dropping that on someone you've just met is insane. So, long story short, she ended up getting pissy with me, to the point of asking how old I was so she could "determine my level of maturity." So because I declined her advance I'm apparently the asshole and less mature for my age. I blocked her immediately after.
