My friend told me about this story being in Islam as well. He is MGTOW and so he said that the lesson is about how Joseph avoided sinning even though it landed him in prison.

He then went to add that this is BS and the real lesson is that women are more prone to adultery than men. Had he commited the crime, Islamic punishment would be for him to get flogged while the women is stoned to death (adultery vs fornication). He said that it was just to warm men about the MeToo crap and similar and that's why in Islam if a woman says she has been raped, she has to provide 3 witnesses who saw the act happening (dick going in the puss which is almost impossible). Same goes for adultery and fornication, three witnesses witnessing the act.

I guess our forefathers had shit figured out.
