I moved recently to a very expensive city. I'm older, STEM career, but I'm not putting money into local property at the peak of an obvious bubble (everything is in a bubble right now).

So I rent.

Transit is super convenient so I used that for day to day use and rent one of those small convenience cars from an app when I really need a vehicle.

So no car. I save a bundle and that goes into investments.

I could retire right now if I wanted to.

Fuck if almost every, fuck, virtually every, woman I've gone out with zeros in on the fact I don't own a vehicle and don't own a house at my age.

And that's that. Fuck 'em.

When dating, it's good to have standards and refuse those who ask inappropriate questions so early on, but... these questions are being contemplated even if they are not being specifically asked. You are better off on your own.

Ya know ... thing is when I read his post, I don't read it as him blaming ALL women as Mr. White Knight claims. I read as him saying, "burned too many times. Checkin' out for a bit. The other thing I like about Mr. White Knight is he assumes that since it has "never" (bs) happened to him, it can never happen to anyone else. Therefore, it isn't true. White Knights have a hard time with men who decide to jump off the bullshit train.
