if i jump in and try to just dance (something that i have tried in the past to no avail) or just spazz out along with them that just feels awkward, and it never works anyway.

I would bet money that you are uncomfortable dancing. A lot of men in dancing environments stand on the side and look too stoic and cool to dance. 99% are actually just terrified and put on a facade. So how do you get more comfortable dancing?

That said when there is a group you have to first charm everyone. Make fun of everyone in a gentle manner. This will make most of the people feel comfortable with your presence, as well as demonstrating higher value through your charismatic skills. Once you have done that you lunge for the kill. The best way to enter the convo with a bold icebreaker.

Just last night I had a conversation with three girls holding hands by simply asking "Are you lot lesbians?". My intention was to piss them off and get them to yell insults at me. Instead they were quite receptive.
