About 80 percent of Autism cases are in males. There's a fundamental lack of acknowledgement in society that autism is actually a manifestation of masculine needs, however. There's a huge effort in the media to find autistic females simply to balance out stories and not make it look like problem that more often afflicts males. Because God forbid we discover men need help more than women in some area.
