She's just decided to market herself as female empowerment, which does not translate to box office.

The majority of women don't give a shit about female empowerment in movies. That's just people with political agendas.

I've dated a wide variety of women, and at no time has anyone told me they wanted to go to the latest "women talking endlessly" movie. Most view Thelma and Louise as a horror story. They want to see horror, sci FI, comedies about zombies, those kind of things.

Women don't get fantasy wish fulfillment from Steel Magnolias. More like 50 shades of gray.
