Hi fellas. For the last year & 1/2 I've been completely prerequisite coursework for the nursing program at my local university. This took so long because the anatomy course is so difficult here, they recommend you take it by itself for a semester (yes it was that hard).

I finish my prerequisites and apply with a 3.9 gpa. I got invited to a 3 part interview consisting of a group scenario, one-on-one mini interviews, and an impromptu essay, all of which being judged by..., you guessed it, middle aged white women.

I applied and interviewed over the summer for admittance to the fall semester. I chose to write on one of the prompts given, young children in contact sports, briefly mentioning young boys needing male figures. I get rejected.

I applied and interviewed for a second time 2 weeks ago for the spring semester. I get rejected again. The program admits 60 students each semester out of 90 interviewed.

I hate to sound ideological but I cant help but believe there is a prejudicial choosing for this particular program. I don't want to sound egotistical but I just can't believe that 60 students had an edge on me, twice, for the interviews. I've studied with the girls who did get admitted, believe me, it's hard to believe that they scored higher than me on the interviews. If you go their university website, you read that typical diversity and inclusion bs. I guess that doesn't count for men, still making about 10% of the nursing force, and even less for the students in this school.

Yes, I do believe admitting committees have socialist and feminist persuasions. I am only left to believe their was something about my personality they didn't like and based their decision on that. This is what we're dealing with and I think its worst than people think it is.
