Marriage and relationships have become a scam. Even her supposed "love" is often fraudulent, passing off materialistic pragmatism as attraction or affection. When women find 80% of men "below average" in sexual attractiveness but turn around and date them anyway (that same OKCupid article also says this!), cheating and many other problems are the inevitable result. Same goes for their often demanding and excessive expectations, as it takes quite a lot to "compensate" for having sex with someone she's not physically attracted to. Also, women usually end up resenting the man they settled for. She might act all loving and a sex kitten in the beginning, but once she feels she has him locked down, her true level of "attraction" to him reveals itself. That's when the sex stops and the meanness starts.

Women leave their husbands because they can. Whether it's because they have some stronger emotional bond with their lover - we may never know because results are skewed. If she leaves - she gets half of his shit, if he leaves - he loses half of his shit.

Which brings to next point that women generally cheat with higher-status men. Maybe 50 years ago they did, but resources are no longer difficult to achieve for women (see above point), hence they generally cheat with whoever is hotter, not richer. Whereas men (when they cheat) cheat with whoever puts out.

"Women view their infidelity as a symptom of the problems in their relationship" - was this written by a woman or a soyboy? Let's not beat around the bush, this is called "hamstering" where a woman delegate blame for her actions on someone else (i.e. the man she's with) - i.e. "I cheated because he doesn't spend enough attention on me ..." (or some other bullshit reason).

"it tends to be with someone more attractive than her husband" - this literally contradicts 2nd point about status or "attentiveness".

"revenge cheating" - because women are children, you don't give them candy before dinner - they throw a tantrum. And coming back to point about "hamstering", no dear you cheated because you're a whore and made up some bullshit reason after the fact.
