I was mainly a fan of black cards. My "dormant evil" I presume. I have the black collections of 4th edition and the dark complete... My absolute favorite was Fallen Angel... Her stitched back wounds from the wings ripped off, 1 white feather still floating from her and her licking her sword... Priceless. Sad Dark ritual got restricted. That ruined my best decks: black weeny. However I had to admit ""scientifically" white was the stronger color. Had a match with my best friend 4thE only. Me black he white. Rules: "protection from" was restricted: only 1 white/ black knight a.s.o. allowed and circle of protection was banned in the white deck. Best out of 5. I lost with 2 victories. My main bane was "swords to plowshares." My main attack force getting removed from the game was what nicked me. The graveyard wasn't a big deal with black deck... But it was really close! He won that 3rd match barely and it was the fifth. Oh what good times those were. Nowadays MTG is totally beyond me.

I started in Revised/fallen empires, and stopped somewhere about 7 years later. Alliances was a killer expansion, and Mirage was a good one too.

I didn't realize they still made physical cards, i expected it to go digital.

I played some magic back in the day, was never very good, but what I really loved was the card art. I think MTG has some of the most impressive commercial/popular art of the 90s/early 2000s I especially love many of the unique character designs - Ral Zarek is, IMO, one of the coolest character designs ever.

Excellent to see. The reserve list buy list prices recently tanked, might be a good opportunity to pick up some classic MTG cards.

Just got into it, but I've noticed a shit ton of women on the card in the game.

Also an observation I've had is that all the 'Angels' are women, and 'Demons' are men...

How ironic.
