What it sounds like is he shit tested you in front of women. It isn't necessarily a bad thing. Guys shit test guys all the time. If it's something he does and it happened to be in front of a woman then it's not a big deal. If he only does it in front of women it's an issue. My guys give me shit the moment I look at a woman but for us it's apart of the game. Keeping a level head under pressure.

It's ok. He didn't know how to handle how he felt that time so he went passive aggressive. You can understand now so it shouldn't bug you out anymore. I had a roomate / friend once who really liked this girl that I was friends with and told me he had a crush on her. I told him to back off because I knew they wouldnt work out because he was one of the most beta friends and the girl was very alpha, more alpha than some guys. I ended up having sex with her a lot, even during the times when my friend was there in the same room sleeping. He was acting weird during those times. Years later I found out he knew and heard us doing it. We are still friends up to now. He has a sweet, pretty girlfriend. He is not so beta anymore.
