I know this post is not going to be much, but I really needed to write this.

I just wanted to say thank you. Seeing all of you acomplishing so much and realizing how this world really is has encouraged me to keep pushing forward and forge my own path.

You see, all my life I've been told to get a girlfriend. My father always says that I'm pathetic for being single, and my mother's always worrying about me for being alone and not having a lot of friends (I do have friends, though. Few, sure, but amazing people that genuinely care about me. I'm really lucky in that regard).

I've been worrying about that stuff for SO long. I've pretty much been raised with a "If I don't have a girlfriend I'll never be happy" mentality, which led me to giving everything I had to shitty women because it was what everyone expected of me.

So many awesome moments in my life that I didn't enjoy because I was sad for being alone...

But I'm done. It's over.

I study computer engineering, I care and provide for my family, I make music that people enjoy and I work out 4 days a week. Despite all this, I STILL felt like I was a nobody, all because of this toxic mentality around me (not only around me, the internet is FULL of it, too).

But you've inspired me. You've taught me that this way of life is not only possible, but fulfilling and joyful, too. I was really lost and you helped without even realizing it, so thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
