When it comes to "gray area date rape" some women take years or even decades to convince themselves they were raped, instead of just being embarrassed about a bad awkward sexual encounter during which nobody threatened or injured them in any way.

I felt so much pressure to have sex, I froze. I went limp. I just went along with it to get it over with. Afterward I put on my clothes and went home. I was so embarrassed I never told anybody about it. Probably decided after reading a breathless article on the internet about the rape pandemic/crisis/holocaust.

What was she doing during that decade before she decided she was a victim of a violent felony so long ago? Finishing school, working a job, having a family. Life stuff.

Now look at Case 2. The law abiding guy who was falsely accused. He spent $90K on lawyers and time behind bars. He's now a convicted felon and a registered sex offender. Many of his old friends and family won't speak to him. Whatever career he had is gone forever because of his criminal record. His life is fucked.
