After tirelessly researching the nature of male circumcision and it's opposite, foreskin restoration, I have become familiar with the new heaviness my heart now carries. Every step I take in weighing what I've learned towards deciding what to do from here make seems to wear my soul. My mind is filled with questions that bite me at night.

My fingers feel like they can barely type.

Enough blather, though. I want to know if there are any men here who have gone through with foreskin restoration, what means were used (was it surgical or non-surgical?) and how it's worked out for you since then. Some sites suggest that there is hope while others tell about how men have been trying to undo this for at least two millennia and for two millennia no one has been listening. Another thing I want to know (but am afraid to ask) is, though typing this out I am aware of how idiotic this question is but I feel I need to ask it anyway - are those twenty thousand nerve ending that were severed during circumcision gone... permanently? They are, aren't they? There isn't any getting them back, is there? God, I want to throw up right now.

I hate this aspect of my body. After finding out that my penis is basically mutilated and basically "wrong", I've paid closer attention to the sensitivity of the glans. I've become aware of the frequency of instances of pain and discomfort caused by friction or positioning or other factors. Could my particular pain sensitivity be worse than that of an uncircumcised male, or do uncircumcised males experience worse levels of pain sensitivity? (I couldn't find any answers online and I'm honestly curious to find out answers) For those who have "restored" their foreskins - do you experience more or less pain and discomfort compared to your previous state? Perhaps it depends on what method you use for the "restoration"?

I'll leave this post written at this point so as not to inundate it with too many questions which might turn out to be completely redundant. Also, I'll not be adding to this post from here on because I can't spend that much time thinking on this subject before my mind starts devolving into strictly unconstructive rumination.

As a final thought: society has structured itself in such a way as to put the circumcised male in such a position where there really is no "right time" to start asking questions such as these. Though it is severely difficult to do so, it is strictly up to the male himself to decide (and there is perilous risk in getting "when" wrong) when to face his fears and shame and bolster enough bravery to stand up for his rights which were put down at childbirth.
