The Inevitability of Patriarchy as a Matter of Instinct, Grounded In Human Reproductive Peculiarity:

1.) Operational sex ratio (men are fertile their whole lives, women only part. Men are fertile every day of the month, women only part) 2.) High male parental investment in offspring (perhaps the highest of any organism) 3.) Concealed ovulation/internal gestation in the female ---> paternity uncertainty

These factors combine as follows: men are in intense competition with one another to mate with women. There are not enough fertile women to go around and many men fail. Those who succeed often succeed more than once and leave outsized genetic legacies. The feedback loop necessary for greater status striving behavior in males is obvious. Even if mating can be achieved, the problem of unwittingly investing one's life raising another man's child persists due to the possibility of female deception/infidelity. To outcompete other men and simultaneously control one's women, men have developed an instinct to organize into highly territorial male-male coalitions, usually centered around blood relatives (where the success of one's kin has the added benefit of increasing one's inclusive fitness by fostering more relatives in the next generation, ie nieces/nephews, etc.).

If we consider a person’s susceptibility for radical feminism (for women) and cukholdry (for men) as at least partially a matter of instinct, then it is conceivable these instincts could quietly be passed on in societies that LIMITED THEIR EXPRESSION. Now that these instincts can be openly expressed, and work against the person expressing them by limiting reproductive success, this differential reproductive success means there will be fewer people with these instincts as the generations pass. In others words, we are in the thick of a period of flushing out these instincts, landing back at a more traditional society at some undefined point in the future. This process may have been repeated to a lesser extent many times in history.

There is simply not the same level of pressure to provide a feedback loop to sustain feminism as there is for traditional masculinity, as outlined above.
