Molson Canadian or Labatts Blue? Maybe Sleeman's Cream Ale?

A number of years ago, I remember Ontario was great for the very expensive but better beers. All at or above 5% alcohol. I loved the beers were categorized as either a lager or ale. And there was only one place to buy it... Brewer's retail then became "the beer store". I guess the Brewer's retail name confused too many Canadians what is was.

Another interesting thing was the Canadian post office had brochures on the toxicity of the lakes and how many fish could be 'safely' eaten. It was alarming - I refused to eat fresh water fish. This was back in the late 80s up to last half of the 90s. It'll be interesting to know if that info is still published and freely available.
