Since the whole MGTOW lifestyle includes all parts of everyday life, I'd like to talk about arts and careers. I've decided to follow my main passions and loves which I haven't followed before because I was too much of a wimp. This community helped me open my eyes a long time ago, and I'm thankful for that.

I had a good education in electrical engineering and mechanics but I never truly gave myself into it. It was half assed. Good money, safe job? Yeah. But I know it's miserable working if you're not made for it, especially IT and stuff like that. When you know you're made for something else, you just know it.

So I quit everything. I have always had a knack for written word (maybe it won't be evident here as English is my second language) and music. Communication in general. Prose, poetry, essays. Music? Nothing in this world makes me happier than this. No woman could ever reach a thousandth of joy I get from it.

This autumn I am going to become a student in my mother language and English language and literature. Education is something I enjoy and can do well, so maybe being a teacher or a professor in future wouldn't be that bad. I pursue music as my main hobby, play a guitar and a few more string instruments. I have the time to read the classics and poetry I enjoy. I plan to catch a few plays in the theathre as well. All in all - life quality has improved ever since I started going my way.

Are there any more artists here who have decided to go their way? Painters, actors, writers, musicians, sculptors, decorative wood/stone workers, anyone? Do you think it is useless to pursue arts as a career? Would you be an artist if there was no money risk? Do you find it an important part of your life, even if it's just a hobby?
