They are exercising their rights to be filled with Tyrone's seed as their patrimony literally burns down around them. In the old days we would have killed the invaders on the beaches and any women giving succor to them would have been shaved bald and made to suffer in stocks while being pelted by rotten produce in the town square.

After the collapse I expect any outposts of civilization will act thusly if they want to survive their first winter without a power grid and industrial farming.
