The recent dog posts got me in the feels, but I think the poor kitties get a bad rap (I have both, atm). Yeah, most women get cats... but it's because cats require the least responsibility to own--not because of the behavior of the animal.

Contrary to popular belief, while cats do tend to do their own thing most of the time (they're animals going their own way), they're are very loyal to those they've accepted as part of their "pride." Doubly true if the cat views you as the leader of the pride.

However, it's true that cats tend to take much less shit than dogs. Betray a cat once, and it will never, ever forget--it will go its own way immediately and never look back. It's this nature of cats that I find I respect quite a bit.

The one thing that I find to be universal between dogs and cats is that they aren't fake. They're true to their feelings. Whether they like you or not, they always show it honestly--it's what I love about them most. :)
