It's because we're taught to love them unconditionally and they're taught to "reward" us with their tolerance of us under strict conditions that we provide, protect or perform. Pain for man is built into the very structure of modern relationships between men and women.

When a man reclaims his mind from the lies he's been told and his perception from the lens he's been trained to view women through, it becomes apparent that most women are narcissistic people who have spent their whole lives being told what they deserve from men by virtue of their existence and that their pain is the only pain that matters. Look at the movies about relationships, listen to the songs about them. Women are centered in damn near all of it. Men have no witnesses, no outlets, no anything. Women are never held accountable for the pain, emotional or otherwise, they inflict on men.

That's why we need to make it a point to give therapy to each other.
