Replacing genders or replacing an actor because an actor really would be fine a gender replacement would just loose money.

No, 007 means that he’s the number 7/9 people to get a license to kill. If someone dies or gets replaced that that person becomes 00*.

I never said that 007 was James Bond. James Bond is James Bond, 007 is simply his license number. So, if they replace 007 with a woman all it means is she going to be called 007 and gets to be bonds love interest for the movie.

Bond did retire at the end of 'Spectre'; watch it again. His replacement (a black female actor born in London) is either a diversity hire or the new Bond. The only person with a valid viewpoint on the Bond character is Sir Ian Fleming, who defined Bond as resembling Hoagy Carmichael but with Fleming's own lifestyle: alcohol, gambling, golf, etc.
Hugh Jackman and Clint Eastwood all declined the role out of respect for the character: English/Scottish white male.
Obviously, Idris Elba’s name came up again but he’s made it very clear he doesn’t want the role because, like Eastwood and Jackman, he knows it’s the wrong decision. By the time filming for the first JB movie after Craig begins, Idris will be 48 – 3 years older than the retirement age for surviving 00 agents.
If you don't know who Sir Ian Fleming was then you definitely don’t had a valid viewpoint on Bond. You can’t keep forcing diversity irrespective of legacy or iconic status. If you say the character doesn’t matter and John Boyega can be the next Bond then I look forward to seeing Season 2 of ‘Shaft’ on Netflix with Jackie Chan in the role.
