The response that "I don't believe in relationships, they're all bullshit," was likely so foreign to her that she immediately assumed because you were not attracted to relationships, you are not attracted to women. Therefore you must be attracted to men. Remember, these women have 600 matches on bumble when they're solid 5's. The idea that a man wouldn't want to be in a relationship with a woman is outlandish from a pre-wall woman's perspective.

A general issue I find with women is they are unable to distinguish between objective and subjective. You might be discussing say modern art and the subject is tweaked so it is suddenly a personal thing about her. Above is a simple example asked about a man’s philosophy he gives an answer, she starts out with a basic shaming tactic that doesn’t even get traction. She then takes it as a personal assault (despite the fact that she actually personally attacked him by shaming).

The 'are you gay' question is because of their underlying premise that a heterosexual man simply couldn't countenance not having relationships with women because that would imply that women might not add value to his life and that idea would really blow their little minds. They think they are the centre of the universe and can't imagine anything else.
