Take the following video that I saw on Youtube today (I believe it is meant to be connected to the Detriot: Becoming Human game although I haven't played it):

"Kara" by Quantic Dream

"She" even goes so far as to say that she is at her owner's disposal as a sexual partner. Frankly, everything up to about 3:15 in the video is a fantastic showplace of what might be to come. Then the animation creator has to have her start thinking. And it goes off the rails. "Oh, no! She seems to be alive and aware!", we are supposed to think. Uh, no. She can't think she is alive unless someone specifically programmed it into her. It seems to me that this is a blatant attempt to get in front of the coming of the fembots and place doubt in people's minds to make them think, "Hey, maybe these are PEOPLE!" Nope, just tools. If we so badly wanted to keep slaves there are far cheaper ways to do it than building a bloody expensive android. (BTW: I do NOT condone slavery and never will.)
