True. Women have a fascinating interpretation of the word equal. For me, it's about fair and justified pay:

If I work for 10 hours doing hard work, I deserve pay to recompense accordingly.

If I work for 3 hours light work, I deserve pay to recompense accordingly.

This is the bullshit that the tennis players experience. The men play 5 sets and the women 3. Equal pay yes, but when Rafael Nadal or someone else suggests women play 5 sets too, all feminist hell breaks loose and the guy is a jerk. They all make a living and the men play longer and they actually sell better too. However women’s tennis is wildly popular and usually exciting too.

The wage gap was fabricated due to a lump sum of salary from all ranges of jobs. Men usually go for the higher up positions, the harder working and longer hour positions; women tend to go for the comfortable, more time flexible positions. If a woman and a man work the same exact job for the same exact company for the same exact hours, they will be paid the same. Women like to say “the WAGe GaP” because they took a genders studies and fine arts degrees over something actually useful, and have to justify themselves for failing in life.
