I've seen a post of one of you guys chilling yourself in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. And I really hope you don't understand and would not understand Malay, as well as having a TV in your room. Because I don't want you to waste your vacation with the unimaginably brain-dead Malaysian dramas.
I just entering uni for my first semester, and it is great. Studying, making new friends, activities galore, and most importantly, turning to either radio or newspaper just like the old days (Bornean newspapers are goid, I tell you). When home, we have this family time in front of a TV (just like 1950s 'Murica) watching the dramas and shit. I'm shocked. Really shocked at what dramas are in TV right now.
One of the memorable scenes are when the supposedly "wife" treats her husband - which btw, in an arranged marriage - horribly, I've seen it as equal to those slave-master relationship. And what the husband do - just "yes darling", bow to her demands, trying to take care of that ungrateful bitch. Even to the point of sleeping on the floor. YES. SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR. Close to cuckoldry, I fathom, all that's left is an Ahmed boning her in front of his husband.
One other scene is this girl just being delusional about her relationship with her ex-husband still intact - eventhough the ex already married and living happily, but na man, women can be delusional.
I look forward the day when I have to fly to Bornek, and cut myself from TV. Those dramas teach girls to be above their husbands - while proclaiming a good role model for Muslim girls (wtf, that's not how it works), while teaching boys to love and care for their wife eventhough the wife is hating him and wishes him to die, but later on, the wife will see your inner kindness and will love you back :) Someday......someday......
Fuck that. No more TV. GYOW.
