Again, you're reading Socrates in your own specific context - not his. The idea of the 'wall' and shit like that would be meaningless to Socrates/Plato as they were quite clearly focused on merit and knowledge as criteria for being 'good' and not wealth/beauty. Furthermore, given that they spent a solid amount of time fucking young men and the fact that Socrates specifically cites the ennobling aspects of Glaucon and Adamantus' youth in book I, it's just historical revisionism to pretend that Socrates is speaking just about women here. Given his discussion of women in Kallipolis, it's fairly easy to say that he thought both women and men were capable of the same failures and successes.
I could cite the conversation between Socrates and Cephalus as evidence that Plato was a fuckin communist but it would be just as eisegetic and make just as little sense.
