I would like to construct mental framework to conceptualize that there might be a hell with extremely high standards of evil-doings for acceptance.

In such a reality life ought to be unbearable for evildoers while they are still alive.

Unfortunately, life and nature work on amoral principles. Bad things happen to good people, and vice versa.

Never underestimate the power of damaged psyche. This woman has effectively closed herself from feeling a lot of aspects of normal life just because she has to exclude a whole set of emotions and beliefs to rationalize her role in the man's untimely death.
