I'm in a facebook group of a relatively popular fitness youtuber. I'm not going to name him, because I'm not giving him any advertising.

This guy has good advice and offers opinion pieces. From time to time, he has ripped on instagram fitness models.

I thought my opinion might be agreed upon. Unfortunately, I was mistaken.

My hot take was, "Does anyone else miss the good old days when women wore shorts and tank tops/shirts at the gym?"

I mentioned that now it seems like a majority of the women that are relatively in shape are now trying to dress like Instagram fitness models with leggings that go up passed the belly button and crop tops. It seemed like they are just doing it more for show than actual exercising.

Unfortunately, that started a shit show. I started to get the following replies:

  • I should focus on my workout and not stare at women.
  • I was being creepy for noticing women at the gym.
  • Women mentioned that they were more comfortable in leggings than shorts. Some mentioned that they need the leggings to go up high because of having a baby belly.

On top of that garbage, I got a few guys white knighting against me.

The guy that runs the page also called me out for creepy. Thankfully, I get the last laugh, because I wouldn't be buying any of his services/programs.
